If something goes wrong, such as missing content or a payment problem, either side can open a dispute. While it is open, unreleased milestones are paused. A decision recorded by Hirencer is administrative only. It is not a court decision.

Step-by-step

  1. Talk first

Message the other party and try to solve the issue. Many problems are simple misunderstandings.

  2. Open the collaboration

Go to Collaborations and open the collaboration with the problem.

  3. Choose Open a dispute

Under Something wrong? Open a dispute, describe the problem clearly, with dates and links.

On mobile: Scroll to the bottom of the collaboration page and tap the dispute line to open the form.

On desktop: Click the dispute line in the What happens next box to open the form.

  4. Submit

Submit the dispute. Unreleased milestones are put on hold and the other party and our team are notified.

  5. Follow the review

Our team may contact both sides. You are notified of the outcome.

Tips and good to know

  • Keep screenshots and links as evidence.
  • The payment gateway’s own rules decide what it can release or refund.
  • You can also resolve things yourselves, by mediation or in court.

Frequently asked questions

Is the decision legally binding?
No. It records what happens on Hirencer, and the parties keep all their legal rights.
Can I cancel a dispute?
Contact support to close it if both sides agree.
