4. How your data is shown and shared
- Public by design: job and project listings, company profiles and public freelancer profiles and reviews are visible to anyone, including search engines. Your email address and phone number are not shown publicly; other users contact you through on-site messages.
- Influencer profile: private by default. It is shown to a brand only for a collaboration where you are the invited influencer, or publicly in the Influencer directory only if you opt in. You can turn this off any time.
- Other users: data needed for a transaction, such as a proposal, message or collaboration, is shared with the other party.
- Service providers (processors): hosting and infrastructure (Hostinger), content delivery and security (Cloudflare), security plugins and firewalls (such as Wordfence), email delivery, payment processing (Razorpay, Stripe and others), sign-in and anti-spam (Google, reCAPTCHA or Turnstile), and, subject to your consent, analytics and tag management (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) and any similar tools we name in the Cookie Policy. They may process data only to provide services to us under contract, except where a provider acts as an independent controller under its own policy.
- Legal and safety: authorities, courts, or others when required by law or to protect rights, safety and security, and professional advisers.
- Business transfers: in a merger, restructuring or sale, data may transfer to the successor under this Policy.
- We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4A. Analytics, tracking and security monitoring
- Analytics: with your consent we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and may add similar tools, to count visits and understand where visitors come from (by country or region and device), which pages and features they use, and how they move through Hirencer. Analytics is off until you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
- Security monitoring: Cloudflare, Wordfence or similar tools and our host process IP addresses and request data to block attacks, spam and fraud. This is needed for security and cannot be switched off in the banner.
- Account activity: we keep first-party records of account events (such as registration, logins, last activity, listings, messages, collaborations and payments) to run the service, secure your account, investigate abuse and meet legal duties.
- Profiling: we do not use these records to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not sell them.
- Your choices: cookie settings in the footer, the opt-outs listed in the Cookie Policy, and your rights in section 7.
5. International transfers
We are based in India and Hirencer is available worldwide. Your data may be processed in India and in other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws from your country. Where required, we use safeguards such as contractual protections and provider commitments.
6. How long we keep data
- Account and profile data: while your account is active, and for a limited period after deletion for backups and legal needs.
- Payment, order and invoice records: as required by tax, accounting and company laws (generally at least 8 years in India).
- Messages, collaboration records, disputes and audit logs: while needed for the matter and for legal claims, normally up to 3 years after closure.
- Security, firewall and access logs: typically 12 months or less, or longer where needed to investigate an incident or as the law requires.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted or anonymised.
- “Last active” and account activity records: while your account exists, then deleted or anonymised after closure subject to the periods above.
- We then delete or anonymise data, unless the law requires us to keep it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU and UK under the GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, Brazil under the LGPD and other laws), you may have the right to: access a copy of your data; correct or complete it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent at any time; data portability; nominate someone to exercise rights on your behalf; opt out of marketing; not be discriminated against for exercising rights; and complain to your data-protection authority.
To exercise rights use the tools on our Account Deletion & Data Requests page, edit your profile in your account, or email support@hirencer.com. We may need to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days (or sooner if your law requires). Deleting some data may mean we can no longer provide the service, and we may keep data we are legally required to keep.
8. Children
Hirencer is not for anyone under 18 (or the age of majority where they live). We do not knowingly collect children’s data. If you believe a child has given us data, email support@hirencer.com and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and monitoring. No system is completely secure, and you share information at your own risk. Keep your password safe and tell us at once about any misuse. If a breach affects your rights, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Third-party links and sign-in
Links to other sites and services (including social platforms and Payment Providers) are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.
11. Do Not Track and automated decisions
We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common standard, but you can control cookies (see the Cookie Policy). Some checks (for example content verification on collaborations or spam filtering) are automated, and anything uncertain is sent for manual review. We do not make decisions with legal effects about you based solely on automated processing without a way to ask for human review.
12. Additional notices
- EU/UK users: our processing relies on the bases in section 3. You may complain to your local supervisory authority. Where we need a representative under GDPR Article 27, contact us for details.
- California residents: in the last 12 months we collected the categories in section 2, for the purposes in section 3, and disclosed them to the recipients in section 4 for business purposes. We do not sell or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. Use the contact details to exercise your rights.
- India: we process data under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the SPDI Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Our Grievance Officer is listed on the Grievance Redressal page.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy. The “last updated” date shows the latest version. Material changes will be notified on the Platform or by email where appropriate.
